Ways to work with me

My vision is a world made more beautiful and just through every woman's value centered leadership and creative contributions. But we can't do this work alone. We need one another, and we need to cultivate a firm foundation of nourishment, resilience, community connection, and vision.

Traditional forms of leadership are rooted in colonial constructs, patriarchal systems and extractive capitalist views enforced through a lens of power and hierarchy. When we are subsumed in these systems as leaders, we can become overly-focused on the day to day tasks that require our attention - relying on outmoded notions of organizational cultures that emphasize power and dominance for the privileged few at the top.

Over time, being in these systems creates tunnel vision around our purpose, and our sense of leadership and service becomes defined by checking off boxes rather than holding space for growth and change. Tunnel vision can divorce us from our bigger visions and create isolation in our roles. Soon we find ourselves lacking the care and community it takes to truly steward teams, organizations, communities and businesses. When we experience isolation, we can become depleted, burned-out, and overwhelmed. And when we begin to experience depletion, we often deprioritize self-compassion, believing that we don't have time, energy or space to tend to our self-care, community connections, and bigger purpose. This creates a cycle of isolation and depletion, making it impossible for us to lead ourselves and others in sustainable change and deep transformation.

As a leader who holds histories of trauma in my body, I know all too well how easy it can be to become disconnected from our body's wisdom, from our highest purpose, from our most nourishing community connections, and from the vision of change we see for the world. This is why I want to support other values-driven leaders to return to their inner knowing, to their connection with embodiment and nourishment, and to the importance of community.

In these spaces, we can reconnect with our bodies, reconnect with a sense of the sacred, reconnect with our biggest vision for social change, and our sense of empowerment and purpose. From this place, we are better positioned to lead others in spaces that are equitable, safe, and transformational - and we become the embodiment of what I call

a Regenerative Leader - a leader that champions, celebrates, and advocates for equity, justice, creativity, safety and healing. From this space, we are better equipped to work at changing systems of power one small step at a time.

Each of my offerings are curated experiences that blend mindfulness, rest, reflection, deep listening, creativity and embodiment backed by strategy, tools, research and practice to support you as a Regenerative Leader on your journey of personal and collective healing and social change. Liza lives and works on the unceded ancestral lands of the Ohlone, Ramaytush Ohlone, Muwekma Ohlone and the Coast Miwok in what is now called Pacifica, California - a place she now calls home. Liza acknowledges that the original stewards of this land continue to play vital and active roles in the Bay Area and beyond.

Liza also recognizes her ancestral lands  - Kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina (the Hawaiian Islands), particularly ka mokupuni o Oʻahu (the island of Oʻahu), a me ke ahupuaʻa o Waimānalo (and the land division known as Waimānalo) - the place where she was born and raised by her mother and grandmother. Liza thanks her ancestors for their guidance and support as she lives away from her homeland.
